In January 1809, the trading ship "Admiral Gardner" left England for India... but it sank in a storm and its precious cargo was seemingly lost forever. The wreck was recently found, and among the sunken treasure was a hoard of newly-minted copper coins that were beautifully preserved in the cold, dark water.
