1992-S Olympic Commemorative Proof Silver Dollar
Item # 1801856
Struck by the prestigious San Francisco Mint, this large 38.1mm coin contains 26.73 grams of .900 silver and features a brilliant Cameo Proof finish. But this particular Silver Dollar just happens to be the infamous US Olympic ‘Nolan Ryan’ Silver Dollar. You see, no living person is supposed to be featured on a US Commemorative, and the US Mint has staunchly refused to admit that that the baseball pitcher featured on the coin is famous pitcher Nolan Ryan. However, the coin’s image is an exact copy of Ryan’s 1991 Fleer baseball card – right down to the folds of his jersey!! This controversy has forever made this 1992 Silver Dollar a true collector favorite. STRICT LIMIT OF ONE PROOF PER ORDER!
