In 1921, the Russian Soviet Federated Socialist Republic issued its first coins, including the silver 10, 15, and 20 kopeck coins. These were the first coins to feature the famous hammer and sickle design that symbolized the old Soviet Union. Most of these historic silver coins were melted or destroyed long ago, but we recently discovered a small hoard in Moscow. This fabulous set includes all three silver coins!
