2008 US Mint Set
The 2008 Uncirculated P & D Set Makes History!
The 2008 United States Mint Set made history for THREE very important reasons: First of all, the 2008 Mint Set includes the final 5 State Quarters in the 50 States Quarters Series. This is your chance to own what will forever be known as a key date "last of the series" US Mint Set. Secondly, the four Presidential Dollars included in this Mint Set are also key date coins. You see, starting with the 2009 coins, the motto "In God We Trust" will be moved to the face of the coin, instead of the current edge inscription. This means that only the 2008 Presidential dollars will forever be known as the last coins to feature this historic edge inscription, and will be a key date in the entire Presidential series going forward. Thirdly, this Mint Set contains the last TWO Sacagawea Dollars issued before the reverse design changed in 2009.
28 Coins in All!Each 2008 Mint Set contains special uncirculated versions of all 28 regular-issue 2008 coins. You receive 14 coins struck by the Philadelphia Mint, as well as 14 coins bearing the Denver mint mark. These coins are each struck on special presses at greater pressure than normal coins in order to produce sharp, highly-detailed images against a special satin finish that first appeared in 2005.
