These are the only Presidential Dollars struck by the historic San Francisco Mint and they are highest quality coins made by the U.S. Mint. As Proof coins, they are especially prized by collectors for their stunning mirror-like finish and limited-edition status. They were only struck for a very limited time, and the dies have now been destroyed forever! Luckily, we have secured a very small group of these FIRST EVER Presidential Proof sets just for our customers complete with the official US Mint packaging and the official Certificate of Authenticity.
The 2007 proof set contains the coins of the first four US presidents: Washington, Adams, Jefferson and Madison Official U.S. Mint display packaging and certificate of authenticity FIRST YEAR EVER Presidential Dollar Proof Set. The reverse of each coin features a dramatic image of the Statue of Liberty. Each of these coins also features an edge-incused inscription of the year, "E Pluribus Unum," "In God We Trust" and the mint mark.
