2001 WTC PCGS Silver Eagle
When the World Trade Center towers collapsed on September 11, 2001, a small hoard of 2001 Silver Eagle Dollars was buried in a vault deep within the rubble. Two months later, the vault was recovered ... and miraculously, the coins emerged unharmed. They were taken immediately to PCGS, where they were certified and encapsulated as official World Trade Center Ground Zero Recovery coins. Each coin is a moving tribute to the heroes of 9/11, and it is one of the rare items that is legal to own from Ground Zero.
